Comfort Quilt
Cochineal/Osage/Logwood-dyed printed cotton, embroidery, found quilt stand
Two things I’ll always find at my Aunt Thomasena’s house is comfort and enchantment. Collards and butter beans lured my cousins and I in from our adventures in the woods and my wonder expanded as her collection of unicorn statues outgrew her stack Joel Osteen books. Using natural dyed second-hand cloth, this is an homage to her inquisitive mind and the solace her home created.
